White Settlement Police Department maintains and operates a full-time, full-service communications center, which is staffed by nine dispatchers and supervised by a Communications Supervisor.
Responsibilities
Communications personnel are responsible for processing all incoming calls to the Police Department, answering all radio communications and keeping track of and recording police officers’ activities. In addition the dispatchers monitor activities within the department’s jail holding facility through the facilities video surveillance system.
Equipment
The Communications Center is equipped with computer-based, multi-line telephones, Tarrant County 9-1-1 interface and various local, state, and national database systems.
