WSPD Launches Santa Cops Program - 8 Families and 25 Children Served

Police News Releases Posted on December 20, 2024

The White Settlement Police Department launched our inaugural “Santa Cops,” which is a new program to assist families and children who need a little assistance during the holiday season. With the generous donation from MTZ Autoworld, eight families and 25 children were served with the new initiative. Officers adopted families from the White Settlement Independent School District Angel Tree list.  WSPD Officers went shopping at a local retail store and purchased clothing, necessities, and gifts for the children. Citizens on Patrol volunteers did the gift wrapping.

On Friday, December 20, 2024, WSPD Officers were joined by White Settlement Mayor Faron Young and WSPD Citizens on Patrol volunteers to deliver the gifts across town. Families and children were thrilled by the generous outpouring of support during this holiday season.

“I am excited that we were able to create the Santa Cops initiative to serve families throughout our community,” said Chief of Police Christopher Cook. “Our employees, community, and volunteers are committed to helping during the holiday season. A special thanks to our corporate donor and White Settlement I.S.D. who made this program possible. On behalf of our entire team, we wish everyone a Merry Christmas.”

“This was an amazing event to participate in and connect with families around our city,” said Mayor Faron Young. “Our community will always support our fellow neighbors, especially during the Christmas season.”
