The White Settlement Police Department received a second prestigious award during the International Association of Chiefs of Police Annual Conference in Boston this week. The second award, bestowed onto Detective Geovanny Ramirez, was the 2024 Flock Safety Solved Award. This award recognizes departments who are committed to solving serious and violent crimes. Detective Ramirez has worked numerous cases where he utilizes license plate reader and camera technologies that have led to the identification, arrest, and prosecution of offenders.
“Our team was honored to receive two prestigious awards this week, which highlights the great things that the City of White Settlement is doing,” said Chief Cook. “Detective Ramirez does an outstanding job for our department and city. His unwavering commitment to collaborating with his teammates, the Patrol Division, and external agencies is what sets the bar for the high level of service that victims deserve.”
The department embraces several technology products to fight crime, including Flock Safety license plate readers and cameras. To get a demonstration of the 21st Century technologies, coordinate with Corporal Laura Gonzalez as the team lead for the department’s Strategic Comms Team.
