Fatality Crash Involving Motorcycle

Police News Releases Posted on April 12, 2024

On Friday, April 12, 2024 at 3:18 p.m., the White Settlement Police Department responded to a major crash in the 8100 block of Clifford Street near Waynell Street involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle. When officers arrived, they located the motorcycle operator, a man in his early 40s, lying in the roadway. The pickup truck was occupied by a woman and a small child.

While the investigation is in its preliminary stages, officers believe the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Clifford Street, while the pickup truck was traveling northbound on Waynell and attempting to turn westbound onto Clifford. The motorcycle struck the pickup, which caused the operator to become ejected. The driver of the pickup stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Both occupants of the pickup were treated at the scene.

The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the White Settlement Police Department in conducting a forensic investigation into the cause of the crash. The motorcycle operator was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced deceased at 4:30 p.m. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased once next of kin have been properly notified.

The Fort Worth Police Department also assisted with traffic control at the scene of the crash.
