Join the Library and the Parks Department at Veterans Park on Monday, April 8 for an eclipse viewing party! White Settlement will be in the path of totality for this eclipse, during which time the moon will completely cover the sun and we'll be able to see the outer atmosphere, called the corona. Totality will begin around 1:41 and will last for about 2 minutes.
We will have free solar glasses on hand and lots of activities and concessions for the whole family.
In the case of inclement weather, the event will be held at the Recreation Center gym where we'll watch a live stream on the projector screen. The Library will be closed from 12 - 3 for the event.
