[ARCHIVED] Storybook Pumpkin Contest

Storybook Pumpkin Contest Entries Due Oct 25

It's time once again for the Friends of the Library's annual Storybook Pumpkin Contest! To participate, simply turn a pumpkin into your favorite character from a book, comic, or movie and bring it to the library between October 12 and October 25. The Friends of the Library will be providing a limited number of pumpkins for kids under 18 which can be picked up from the library beginning Tuesday, October 12.. Adults are encouraged to participate but must provide their own pumpkin.

Entries must be painted and/or decorated, not carved! To decorate you can use paint, paper, glue, pipe cleaners, fabric, or other craft items. Be creative!

The deadline is October 25 @ 6 pm, but you can bring your pumpkin to the library anytime after October 12 for display. The winners will be announced at the Halloween Storytime on Tuesday, October 26 at 4:30 pm (you do not have to be present to win). Take your pumpkin home after Storytime or anytime until the 29th to enjoy it on Halloween! Any pumpkins left at the library on November 1 will be tossed!

There will be a Grand Prize and a Runner-Up in each age group: PreK-2nd, 3rd-6th, 7th-12th, and Adults.
