We are excited to announce that The City Council of the City of White Settlement established a Youth Advisory Council (YAC) to be composed of 7 youth members who:

  • Attend a State recognized school (public, private, charter) or home-school within the corporate boundaries of White Settlement
  • Reside within the boundaries of the White Settlement ISD
  • Residents of the City of White Settlement

Voice for the Teen Community

This City of White Settlement values its youth and created the Council to provide a voice for the teen community. The Council serves as an advisory to the White Settlement City Council. The Council will consist of members between the ages of 15 to 18 years of age who are interested in being positive representatives of the teen community.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Council duties and responsibilities will include identifying areas for improvement related to youth, including developing programs and services that empower, support, and inform youth; that create a family-friendly community; and that enables and encourages youth to be productive members of the community.

Mission Statement

 "The Youth Advisory Council, through community service, peer involvement, and government relationship, will serve the City of White Settlement by providing a voice for the teen community. The Council will provide opportunities for youth to develop and grow leadership skills, become productive members of the community, and build significant relationships."
