Municipal Court

Municipal Court has jurisdiction over citations (Class C misdemeanors) issued by the City officers. Responsible for:

  • Collecting court fines, fees and state court costs
  • Issues subpoenas
  • Maintaining all records of the court
  • Preparing warrants of arrest
  • Setting trial dockets

Mission Statement

The mission of The City of White Settlement Municipal Court is to serve all citizens in a courteous, efficient and professional manner. The Court is dedicated to principles of fair and impartial justice administered with respect and equality. We are responsible for the prompt, accurate processing of a Class C misdemeanor and collections of fines.

Judge of the Court

The Judge of this Court is appointed by the City of White Settlement City Council to preserve and uphold the United States Constitution, the Texas Constitution, the ordinances of this city, and the laws of this state.

Equal Branches of Government

The three separate but equal branches of government are the Executive branch (City Administrator and all departments including the Police Department). The Legislative branch (The City Council), and the Judicial branch. The Municipal Court and its officers represent the Judicial branch of The City of White Settlement government.
